Headstone Cleaning Workshop
June 21, July 19, August 16 and September 20

Join FLFC volunteers as we demonstrate the latest techniques to safely care for stones and then try your hand at cleaning a marker yourself. This is wet, dirty work so dress accordingly.  All cleaning supplies and materials will be provided, but you may wish to bring a stool. No registration required for this free event and children welcome.   


Halloween Tour of Untimely Departures

Our much-loved holiday tradition is back! Ghostly guides escort groups of guests on one of two candle-lit routes where they meet some of the cemeterys residents and hear the unusual circumstances surrounding their untimely departures. Warning: This tour features mature topics.

A Grave Affaire

A Grave Affair Benefit Dinner – Come learn about a true story of tow brothers, who were –Masons, Firefighters, German Americans and Oregon Pioneers. Today the Oregon beer community is reviving the story of George and Fred Bottler by honoring their impact on Oregon’s beer brewing history and helping to preserve their forgotten Bottler tomb.

Join the Friends of Lone Fir Cemetery and learn who has won the honor to have their beer named “Boettler Bier.”

Bottler Restoration Project Meetings

The Bottler Restoration committee is working to raise money to restore the Bottler brothers’ tomb at Lone Fir Cemetery.  The Bottler brothers were two of Portland’s first brewers and one-time partners with Henry Weinhard.  Join us and get involved which honors the legacy of these two historic Portlanders.
