Featuring an opening filmed in Lone Fir Cemetery, BODY OF EVIDENCE (1993) screens for Friends of Lone Fir Cemetery! All proceeds from this benefit screening go to their work preserving Lone Fir Cemetery and its history and legacy.
In BODY OF EVIDENCE, an elderly millionaire is found dead with cocaine in his system and his will leaves $8 million to his lover Rebecca Carlson (Madonna). District attorney Robert Garrett (Joe Mantegna) decides to prosecute Rebecca, arguing that she deliberately led the man to his premature death in the bedroom, but defense attorney Frank Dulaney (Willem Dafoe) finds himself strapped into a sadomasochistic affair with Rebecca while defending her in court. Co-starring Julianne Moore, Frank Langella, and Anne Archer, and filmed in Portland, BODY OF EVIDENCE is a cult classic erotic thriller from the genre’s seediest era.
